FIRE HORSE SYSTEMS

Fire Horse for septic companies

Two businesses, one phone: the backup today and the tank due in April.

Emergencies get answered because they scream. The three-year pumping list doesn't scream, so it sits - and those are the customers whose drain field you'd rather replace on schedule than on a Sunday. We run both.

ECHA HVAC in Sacramento started at thirteen reviews. We asked their past customers as well as their new ones, answered everything that came in, and the count did the rest. Different trade, same engine - and if you serve rural addresses where everyone knows everyone, the review count is your entire marketing budget.

Where septic work leaks

Three leaks, and the biggest one is a list you already own.

The tanks nobody reminded

Every tank you pumped three years ago is due now. Nobody calls them, so they get pumped by whoever they find when it backs up - or they don't, and the drain field pays for it.

The Sunday backup

Sewage in the house is not a Monday problem. Those calls come in on weekends and evenings, and the customer keeps dialling until a truck is promised.

The drain field quote in limbo

A five-figure replacement with a county permit attached. The homeowner needs to think, then a month passes, then they call three companies again from the top.

Research on lead response is consistent about the shape of this: answering first matters more than answering best. See the sourced figures on the homepage.

Your numbers, not averages

What the tanks you've already pumped are worth.

Not new customers. Addresses in your records with a service date three or more years old.

Every tank asked on its own cycle, by area, so the route fills itself.

Repair and drain field quotes followed up until they're closed.

Every trade we work in runs these five. Septic is the one where gate four is worth more than gate one - you already own the list.

01 · The list you already own

Every tank asked on its own three-year clock.

We read your service history, work out each property's interval from tank size and household, and ask by text when they're due - grouped by area so a day's asks fill one route instead of scattering trucks across two counties.

The tanks that are years overdue get worked once at the start, in batches, so you're not suddenly promising thirty pump-outs in one week.

Reminders by area, not by blast

A Thursday in one township, a Friday in the next. Fewer miles per tank.

Drain field quotes kept alive

Permit-length decisions need three or four touches, not one. Followed up on a schedule you set until you get a yes or a no.

Realtors and escrow deadlines

Inspection requests get the closing date captured up front and land in a slot that beats it.

02 · Answering

It knows a backup from a slow drain, and a pump-out from a permit job.

Trained on your counties, your tank pricing, your access rules and what you charge to dig a lid. It tells people to stop running water, collects the details your driver needs, and never promises work outside the areas you're permitted in.

· Missed call comes back as a text in seconds

· Weekend and evening backups answered and dispatched

· Tank size, last pump date, lid location and access asked up front

· Truck access questions - gate width, distance, slope - flagged before dispatch

· Outside your permitted counties, it says so instead of booking you

Works with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, Workiz, or QuickBooks. Records in a filing cabinet? We've digitized those before - it's part of setup.

Sewage is coming up in the downstairs shower. 4200 Ridge Rd, Newcastle
Stop using water in the house - no laundry, no dishwasher, no flushing if you can avoid it. That'll keep it from getting worse. Do you know when the tank was last pumped?
Not since we bought the place, four years maybe
That fits. We can get a truck there this morning - pump-out is $495 for a 1,250, plus $95 if we have to dig to find the lid. Can a truck get within 100 feet of the tank?

03 · Reviews

In a rural market, reviews are word of mouth with a bigger reach.

You already have the reputation. It just isn't written down anywhere a stranger can find it. Every pump-out gets an ask the same day, and every property you've serviced in the past few years gets asked once at the start.

· Review request the same day as the job

· Every review answered, usually within the hour

· Realtors and property managers asked separately - their reviews bring accounts

Review count and rating are the part of local ranking that responds to effort. The other two levers are your address and your categories - see the homepage.

How this works

Start with one thing. Add the next when it's earned.

Same ladder for every trade. Most septic companies start on Response, because the pumping reminders pay for it in the first month.

Septic questions

What owners ask us.

My records are handwritten going back twenty years.

That's the normal starting point. We digitize what's usable - address, tank size, last service date - and start the reminder cycle from there. It doesn't have to be complete to be worth running.

Will it book jobs outside my permitted counties?

No. Counties and service boundaries are checked before anything is promised, and out-of-area callers get told straight away rather than left waiting for a truck that isn't coming.

Will it quote a drain field?

Never. Those need a site visit, soil conditions and a county permit. It explains that plainly and books the inspection. Pump-out pricing and lid digging are the only numbers it gives.

Won't the reminders annoy people?

A text saying your tank is due, from the company that pumped it last time, reads as service. They stop after the second ask if there's no reply, and anyone who says not yet gets pushed to the interval they name.

Is there a contract?

No. Month to month. Cancel any time and service runs through the month you've already paid for.

Let's count the tanks nobody has reminded.

We'll record a short video showing where the work is leaking - your listing, how a weekend backup gets handled, how many properties in your records are overdue - and send it over. No call required.
