Fire Horse for DJs & entertainers
Saturday night is when you work and when couples message. Monday morning is when you reply, and by then the date is gone. Your calendar has fifty-two Saturdays in it - this is about not losing them to reply time.
No contract, cancel any time, running before booking season

Google reviews, in a matter of weeks
ECHA HVAC in Sacramento started at thirteen reviews. We asked their past customers as well as their new ones, answered everything that came in, and the count did the rest. Different business, same engine - and for a DJ the review count is the only evidence a stranger has that you can read a room.
Where entertainment bookings leak
The Saturday night inquiry
Your busiest hours are the hours couples are out at other people's weddings deciding they need a DJ. You physically cannot answer, and the ones who wait until Monday mostly don't wait.
The quote nobody followed up
You sent packages and a link to a mix. She's comparing you to two others and waiting on a venue decision. One check-in in week two would keep you in it. Nobody sends it.
The venue that liked you
Coordinators and planners hand out three names. Getting on those lists - and staying on them - is worth more than any advert, and it's pure follow-up.
Research on lead response is consistent about the shape of this: answering first matters more than answering best. See the sourced figures on the homepage.
Your numbers, not averages
Your inventory is Saturdays. Every empty one is gone for good.
What we install for a DJ or entertainer
Found
Your listing shows the events you play and the reviews to back it.
Answered
Her date gets an answer on Saturday night, not Monday.
Quoted
Venue, hours, ceremony sound and lighting collected before you price it.
Chased
The quiet quote gets asked again until the date is booked or released.
Asked
The packed dance floor becomes a review - and the venue becomes a referrer.
Miss one gate and the rest doesn't matter. Everything below sits on one of these five.
01 · Answering
It checks the date against your calendar, gives your starting package, asks the questions that decide the price, and books a call. You read the whole thread on Sunday with the details already collected.
· Date availability checked against your real calendar
· Starting price given, so budget mismatches end early
· Venue, hours, ceremony sound, uplighting and MC needs collected
· Sample mixes and past events sent automatically
· Second inquiry for a taken date offered to your trusted network
Sits alongside whatever you already use - DJ Event Planner, HoneyBook, or a Google Calendar and a notes app.

02 · Quotes, venues and past clients
Nothing moves a decision like an honest note that the date is about to go. Two or three touches, in your words, and then the hold is released so your calendar tells the truth.
Venues and planners on a monthly touch
A note after every event you play at their property, and a check-in between. That's how you get on the recommended list and stay there.
Guests who asked on the night
Every event you play is a room full of people planning their own. Those numbers get captured and followed up instead of lost in your texts.
Corporate clients asked again annually
Holiday parties and company events repeat every year. Asked in September, they book. Asked in November, they've already hired someone.
03 · Reviews
A couple two days after their wedding will write you three paragraphs. Two months later they won't reply. The ask goes out on the Monday, every time, without you having to think about it in the middle of the next weekend.
· Review request the Monday after the event
· Every review answered, usually within the hour
· Dance floor clips posted to your listing and social, with permission
· The venue coordinator asked separately - their word carries further
Review count and rating are the part of local ranking that responds to effort. The other two levers are your address and your categories - see the homepage.

How this works
Same ladder for every business we work with. Most DJs start on Response, because you cannot answer a phone with a microphone in your hand.

DJ questions
Will it sound like me? People book me, not a company.
That's the main thing we get right before going live. It's written from your own messages, and it hands over to you the moment the conversation gets personal - the timeline, the first dance, the do-not-play list.
I'm a one-person operation. Is this too much?
One person is the strongest case for it. Every hour you're performing is an hour you can't sell, and your inquiries arrive precisely in those hours. Most solo DJs start on Response only.
What if a date's already booked?
It says so immediately - which is a good look - and can offer a DJ you trust and keep the referral relationship reciprocal. Or it just takes their details for next time. Your rules.
Most of my work comes from two venues.
Then protecting and growing that is the priority: a note after every event there, a monthly touch, and reviews from their coordinators. We'd also work on a third and fourth venue, because two is a fragile business.
Is there a contract?
No. Month to month. Cancel any time and service runs through the month you've already paid for.
We'll record a short video showing where the bookings leak - your listing, how fast a Saturday night inquiry gets answered, what's still open in quotes - and send it over. No call required.
